President Obama visiting Applied Materials

Applied Materials makes the chips that high tech industry needs. Those suppliers seem much cheaper than the customer oriented high tech companies.
It would be interesting to understand why.
For now I’ll enjoy:

Trailing P/E 16.47
Forward P/E 1 11.79 (more…)

automotive-parts
A Chinese car parts manufacturing company that looks such a bargain that I can’t resist:

Here is my point:
Trailing P/E 5.79
Forward P/E 5.26

Inexpensive and expected to be even more inexpensive next year.
Plus I believe car parts will be more and more built in China.

It worked with VIPS, which I bought because it was a cheap but growing high tech company. Vips is now 70% up. Now I found XCRA, which has great growth:

Quarterly Revenue Growth (yoy) 50.20%

Very reasonable price:

Trailing P/E 13.76

I like this high growth stock that sells the machinery used to build high tech stuff. It is like the iconic “sell pickaxes during a gold rush”.
Levy selling pickaxes and shovels in a gold rush

A very reasonably priced company:

Trailing P/E 17.32
Forward P/E 1 12.54

With a spectacular growth rate:

Quarterly Revenue Growth (yoy) 51.80%

What attracted me was not really the news.
It is just that I loved a few numbers:
Esplosive growth: Quarterly Revenue Growth (yoy) 92.10
Very reasonable price:
Trailing P/E 16.22

I was right to chose BABA over VIPS two years ago.
But Now VIPS is so ridiculously cheap that I do believe it is definitely time to enter.

Trailing P/E 18.26
Forward P/E 1 10.36

Is so cheap for an hi tech company that grows that much:

Revenue (ttm) 9.65B
Revenue Per Share (ttm) 16.53
Quarterly Revenue Growth (yoy) 30.30%

VEEVA SYSTEMS INC is a CRM for biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

I bought it because Pharma is good, it is a nice hi tech company, growing quite well with some profits. Not sure it was a good idea

this is my transaction:

What a strange bet has this been: in the era of Artificial Intelligence, I bought a company that sells dumb robots:
Ituitive’s product Da Vinci is “assisted robotic surgery” and is always controlled by a surgeon from a console.

I started getting interested in this weird Japanese holding when they bought ARM, owners of the cpu technology which in the heart of most smartphones and pads.
Now they also bough Boston Dynamics, a crazy robotics company that likes to ill treat walking robots:

Not sure wether the crazy Masayoshi Son is trying to build a funny collection or he has something in mind.

I am basically trying to  invest in a possibly crazy genius.
P/E di 11.57 is reasonably priced for a possible technology player.
Apparently on the year ending March 2017 softbank had flat revenue growth, but healthy earnings growth.
