Of course Revenue is higher (more money) than Earnings, because Earnings are calcultated by subtracting expenses from Revenue. That is why top-line is on top and bottom line on the bottom of any graph for any company.
This example chart is fr EBIX, EBIX is a supplier of software and e-commerce solutions to the insurance industry that did very well from year 2000 to year 2010.
In such cases, newspapers headlines may be something like “EBIX shows great growth both on the top and on the bottom line”.
